VINTAGE TRACTOR fun run on Sunday for charity - NOT TO BE MISSED. (Special meet Unit price per night)
Please note ; No car boot this time - Sorry!
A good meet at Shepley. The tractor rally was excellent. We enjoyed the social in the tent. I had a lovely ride in the tractor. Pity about the rain but it cleared up for the tractors to come back. A good weekend.

Another entertaining weekend with Caldervale. This week we sampled the hospitality of Audrey & Ted At Shepley. The meet started on Thursday this time so when I arrived on Friday tea time I was greeted with the nice sight of around 25 vans. A warm welcome as usual from our stewards was had by all.
By the end of Friday we had 28 on site, a fairly even split of Caldervale members and Visitors. Nice to see so many visitors enjoying our company.
After a few beers It was bed for me as that thing called work (remember that? You o.a.p's & Keith) was calling me on Saturday morning. Hope I didn’t wake you all up when I set off at 5-45am. ( Yes I do. I'm going to sound my horn next time) Back on site at 2-00 and the weather was brill. Summer at last. Campers delight for dinner (pot noodle) That’s what I get for not bringing the wife.
All was not lost as Keith burnt, Sorry I mean BBQed my lamb chops for tea.
Thanks for that. Delicious.
Oh my god its 8-00 already. Time for the social. Its all go with Caldervale.
It was like old times as the social was held in our old marquee. (that’s the old tent for you commoners) Yes its still going strong. I bet the farmer puts it up quicker than we used to.
We had a coffee evening instead of coffee morning as we would not have time on Sunday because of the Tractor rally. After we paid our fees (see photo) Kevin entertained us with a game or two of whacky bingo.( You had to be
there.) Audrey & Ted made £ 17-00 for the air Ambulance from donations for the delicious Hot Dogs. The farmer also made it a social with a difference.
Tractor rides no less. It’s the nearest thing Hazel will get to a white knuckle ride.
A very entertaining evening . Well done to all of you.
After a few more drinks in mums awning we turned in for the night.
A bit of a sleep in for me, woke at 9-00. Watched the news till 9-30 then got up.
The weather was nice again early on. Some went down to watch the Tractor run set off. Kevin was selling raffle tickets for the event in his usual style.
(still don’t know if I won Any thing). That is when the Summer ended. Yes you guessed it. RAIN !!! Well we did get 6 hours sun this year, wot more do you want. That was my queue to pack up and go home.
All in all It was another first class meet. The only slip up was that our Sandra thought that she had a leak in the night but it was ok in the end.
As you can all see from the photos we have had the first Umpa Lumpa off the production line. Keep up the good work for the FOL.
Well done to Audrey & Ted for another top weekend.
Well that’s all from me. My reports seem to get longer.
Come on. Send yours to Richard via E-mail or give them to him or me on site and he will put them on the web and I will put them in the Meet Report folder for all to see.
Well that it from me for this time. Hope to see you all next week at Sandra & my meet at Wooley.
