Hi All

Sunday night again and time to do my meet report for this weekend. What a summer we are having. I can’t believe the weather is still hot and sunny. We must be living in some parallel universe. This weekend we have been to West Stockwith Marina. Our host have been my old Mum & Dad (Iris & Ivan). This has got to be one of the nicest sites on our calendar. Bowling green grass, Nice walks, hook ups if required and to top it all a Boozer on site. Heaven. As usual we arrived on Friday Tea time after the work thing. After the usual chin wag and cuppa Sandra, Ben (yes he made an appearance) and myself went to the Pub for our tea. Nice meal but a little expensive for pub grub. Later we were joined in the beer garden by a few others to enjoy the lovely summer night.

Saturday morning came and Steve, Ben & me went for a game of search for the white ball down the road at Misterton. Once again a very nice morning. Pity the golf was a bit rubbish but we still enjoyed our self’s. When we arrived back on site all the old uns were sat under the nearest tree to try and get out of the hot sun. I decided to run a bowls knock out which every body on site took part. Well done to Steve. He won the final with Ben coming second.

Saturday night was still warm but with the threat of rain. Fortunately that came to nothing. We had a get together out side Mum & Dads awning with a little game of Play Your Cards Right. Well done to Sarah (yes she was on site too) for winning. About half ten and the rain came. Only a short shower but enough to scatter us all off to our vans.  I think a good night was had by all.

Sunday morning and more sun shine. I ran the Coffee morning in Robin’s absence. £20-00 was raised for The Air Ambulance with a raffle. Thanks to all who donated prizes and bought tickets. After Coffee the golfers went off to play a round again. (Sandra thinks I went for a game of Golf) No better this time.  It’s a silly game. Good walk spoiled and all that.

After we arrived back on site we had quick BBQ for lunch. You just don’t want to pack up when it’s this nice. But when you have to WORK!!! You have to go home some time. So Off we went to leave the olds on site for another TWO!!!! Days. Hope it stayed nice for you all. All in all another wonderful weekend. Well done to Dum & Mad . Sorry I have no photos for you but I forgot my camera.

I won’t be able to give you a report for the next two meets. (Hooray I hear you say)  Sandra and I are off on our Hols next week so we will see you all at Gleeb Farm.
