Hello everyone, what a great weekend, sun from start to finish, I didn't want to go home but had to in the end. Thanks to all who helped make it a good weekend.
It started with vistors from NORFOLK no less, they called on there way home but still had a good time. They even went to watch Doncaster Rovers play on Saturday (that must have been exciting). Then vans kept coming, last year we had 3 vans, this year we had 10 (it must be you heard who was stewarding it).
Into the pub on Friday evening for a glass or three, it would have been a bit empty without us but we had a good night. Saturday evening we had a get together in our awning,a bit of a squash but after a bit of manouvering we got every one under cover, but it was quite a mild night so it wasn't too bad.
Thanks go to our resident musicians, what a rendering of our favorite tunes, with a little practice I think they will be called to the Royal Albert Hall before long (they need some cleaners). As you will see from the pictures we had a good time, it was a bit too hectic for Robin but I will let him of as he still has to go to work (Ahhhhhh) Thanks again to all for a good time,
see you next weekend at Misterton Bye

Hi Everybody Young and old. (not many young uns I know)
Well here we are again. Just home after another weekend with Caldervale. This week we have been to Barnborough with our hosts, Joan & Barrie. I arrived on Friday Tea time to find about 9 vans on site. With me and Sharron & steve who came later We had 11 out for the weekend. Much improved from last year. After setting my van up I had a bit of work to do on Dum & Mads van. When we was away at Wainfleet (see previous report) Water started to trickle into there van. (more like Niagara falls) No probs for Super Dunc. Out with the old mastic gun and Bobs your uncle (glad he’s not) . Done in no time. ( For all your on site repairs call Duncs DIY) Just time for a bite to eat then I was dragged off to the Pub by Joan. I didn’t want to go but she insisted. (not far to fall back. My van was Only 6 meters from The car park.(that’s about 20’ for you old uns.) Only time for a couple of pints as I needed to get to bed because I was WORKING on Saturday morning. (Did I mention that I still WORK ?) I think a good night was had by all.
I arrived back on site at about 1-30 on Saturday afternoon after I had been to ____ (fill in the missing blank) The weather was wonderful. Campers friend for dinner (Pot Noodle) Then we all had a get together in a big circle to talk about all the members who couldn’t be bothered to turn up.(only joking) It was nice to sit out in mid September without having to wrap up like an Eskimo.
Barrie & Joan invited us all over to have a Social in the Awning on Saturday night, which most of us accepted as we had nothing better to do. (It’s a good Job we have members who can take a joke) Which leads me to Ted. As you all know Ted has been known to have a suck & blow from time to time. Well Saturday night was no exception. When we were all settled he got out his instrument. (Audrey told him to put it away. So he got out his Harmonica instead) Ted and I decided to do a duet again. Isn’t it a shame when one person who thinks he can play spoils it for the other.( I will leave you to decide which was the spoiler) Nice one Ted. We had a good night. Having a laugh is what it’s all about. Thanks for taking it in good part. Also thanks go to our host who provided some nice refreshments.(mucky Dripping & Scones, What a combination) After a good old chin wag and a laugh it was time for bed. Top night well done.
Sunday morning was a bit dull and misty at first. Coffee morning was held at the usual time of 11-00. By then the sun was shining again. A short one this time with the usual announcements from Robin, Then time for another chin wag.
I decided to pack up and leave early to get home to watch the Grand Prix on the box.
All in all another great weekend (this is turning out to be a great season) Well done to Joan & Barrie for doing a good job once again.
See you all at Misterton
Duncan (The whistle) Neale
