Hello everyone,

another good weekend hosted by Margaret & Jack,I was first on site this weekend and it was very warm and dry, butit didn't stay that way for too long, it started to rain,(back to normal).Friday evening we went into the on site bar and after a bevie we had a discusion on what wanted bringing up at the committee meeting on Saturday evening, quite a lively meeting as you would expect.Saturday was another fine day went for a game of golf with Duncan accompanied by Kieth as our official ball spoter and scorer.

I got a consession rate which put Duncan off his game at the final hole when he decided to send a few balls into the pond. Saturday evening we had our committee meeting followed by an evening in the bar with a good chin wag. Abig thank you to Margaret for her contribution to our webpage, the first stewards to give us there views as to what happened this weekend

THANKS MARGARET.

Hello. The young un here.

Well time moves on. Only 5 more meets to the end of the season. What will we do?

This weekend we have been to Eckington cricket club. Our hosts this weekend have been Jack and Margaret. The first thing you noticed about this meet was the signing. After you left the M1 at junction 30 you could not move for them.(I have heard that Sheffield council have offered him a job). Well done for a job well done.(it will take him till Monday afternoon to get them all in) If any one got lost they must be blind. What do you say Hazel?

When everybody arrived we had 11 or 12 vans in total. Just time for a bite to eat after setting up, before going in to the club house for a few sips of the old amber nectar. If you have never been to this site you have missed out. We have exclusive use of the club house on both nights. We had a good old chin wag, A few pints and a bit of a members meeting to round the night off. A good night was had by all I think. Nice to see that we can have what could be called a heated discussion and still be friends in the morning.

Talking of the morning, Saturday brought some nice weather again. (We are being spoiled this season) Barrie and I went for a game of golf with Keith coming along as chief ball finder. Barrie won the first point in the pro shop before we started. He only got a Quid knocked off for being old. (I think you call it a concession) I should get money off for looking after the old uns by taking them off site and stimulating there minds. Well enough off that, My time will come (I hope). We had an enjoyable morning, apart from me putting at least 4 balls in the lake on the 9th.(well it gives the fishermen something to go for) Thanks Barrie & Keith, we will do it again.

When we arrived back on site the sun was still shining. Out came the tables and chairs and a cup of coffee was the order of the day. After talking about each others ailments I decided to go for 40 winks before my tea.

A committee meeting had been planed for 6-00pm which was held in the club house. We discussed a number of things which you will all be able to read about as the minutes will be available at future coffee mornings. After the meeting finished we had another free and easy social in the club house. Sometimes it is nice to just sit and chat. Again a good night was had by all.

Sunday morning and yet more sun. Coffee morning was at 11-00 as usual. We had a laugh and a joke at a few peoples expense. Sorry Charlie but you did say you would buy one of Richards DVDs. (New nickname for Charlie. TIGHT WAD) On the subject of Richards DVD. If You haven’t seen it you are missing a treat. It is a first class record of the BCC FOL. Well worth the price of £5-00 More in fact. If you want a copy see Richard or myself and we will part you with your money (no Concessions)

After coffee it was an early off for me as I had things to do at the place I live in the week. Have you noticed how I didn’t mention WORK in my last report? I’m not going to mention it in this one either.(S**T I just did).

All in all another well run and enjoyable weekend. Well done to Jack & Margaret.

We have a weekend off next week as we are not going to The Goose Fair this year. (What will I do on Sunday night? No Meet report to do)

We will see you all at Drax ( See out and about) (coffee morning joke) all being well.

                                                            Duncan.
