Robin and Janet.

Hello again, well it has finally arrived, the last get together of this season. Our annual dinner held at Eggborough was a success. A little disappointing as far as turnout was, but those who came enjoyed themselves. On Saturday Duncan And me and our scorer Keith set off for a game of golf, but were turned of the coarse because we haden't got a member with us , so we had to leave. Ah well better luck next time.I went a walk with Robin in the afternoon, no blisters but rather wet.Saturday evening and time for Dinner, they don't scimp on food and all nicely cooked.

After dinner we had the presentation of our prize for the most weekend attendances this year, and after a close run count up it was finally won by JANET & ROBIN, well done to you and well done to all our weekenders. As you know Janet has been wanting a Summer house for her garden all year, well I finally managed to make her one as you can see from the pictures, don't forget to water it well Janet and I am sure by this time next year it will have grown into a full size one.Well that's about all for this year I will see those going to LINCOLN for the Christmas Market when we get there and those going to the social there ,every one else We wish you all a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Bye JOAN & BARRIE

Hi everyone Well that's it for another season with Caldervale. We have just arrived home from the Dinner & Dance meet at Egg borough. No Official stewards this time so it was site your self when you arrived. Most of us went into the club on Friday night for a swift one or two. A nice chat and a drink was just what the doctor ordered. Saturday morning the sun was shining and the wind was blowing. Barrie forced me to go with him for a game of golf on the on site course. Keith came along for the laugh. We had only got to the third hole when we got kicked off. Some rubbish about us not being members and not paying the green fees & worst of all Barrie not being dressed correctly.

I told the bloke that I didn't really want to play but the old bloke that I was playing with forced me to. (Sorry Barrie) I wish I could say that I have been kicked of better courses than that one, but I can't. This is a first for me. And I thought that golf was a gentleman's game. Turns out the bloke that kicked us off was the club captain. (Jobs worth). Never mind I was playing crap anyway. Dad, Steve and I decided to go into the club for a game of snooker in the afternoon. You will be glad to know we didn't get kicked out.

Saturday evening came and we all made our way into the club for the dinner. A lovely Beef, Pork ant Turkey cavalry. I didn't hear of one complaint about the meal. Well worth the price. After the food Barrie made the presentation of the clock for the most meets attended. This was won by Janet & Robin. Well Done for that. Barrie also made a special presentation to Janet. It was a mini summer house so she can plant it in her garden and see if it grows into a full size one. Fingers crossed. After the presentations we moved the tables back and I put on some music to try and get the evening going with a dance or two. I little slow to start with but I think we got there in the end. All in all I think It was a very enjoyable evening. I only hope we can get a few more attending next year.

Sunday morning seemed a little strange as no coffee morning had been arranged so every one just drifted off the site fairly early. Things to do I suppose. A big thank you must go to Sharron for organising the Dinner. Well that's it. All that is left for me to do is say thank you to you all for reading my ramblings throughout this season. I will try to keep it up in 2007. Looking forward to it already. We hope to see you all at the winter socials but if we don't, we both wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.

See you soon
