Hello again, our second weekend meet and hosted by Christine & Toni.

A little bit cool but nice and dry, a liitle sunshine  just right for walking of which there are plenty of places to pick from, and a nice field for our golf club members to practice there skills. The longest job was gathering up the balls from all over the field and I mean all over.Nice to see visitors and we hope they will come and join us again. Also nice to see Iris and Ivan even if only for a visit ,it's a start ,hope you are both soon out and about again with us. Thanks Christine & Toni for a good weekend , Hope to see you at YORK if not before.

Barrie.

Hi All
Just home from Wintersett. A warm welcome as usual from our Stewards this weekend, Tony & Christine. Sorry that we couldn’t join you for a cuppa. We Were meeting Sharron & Steve for a meal to celebrate Sandra’s birthday. ( 38 She says but I know better) After the meal we went back to the local Pub and met up with the usual Alco’s. for a quick one.( we found time for a drink as well). All in all it was a nice way to end a very hectic week at work. The wind was blowing straight up the field and our van was the last in line, Must get some vent covers. I had a draught up my passage all night if you know what I mean.

Saturday morning and the weather was bright and breezy. After breakfast Sandra & I went for a drive to Ackworth to the garden centre. (Isn’t that what old people do?)
Back on site and after a spot of lunch it was time for the golfers to take advantage of the large field for a bit of practice. If I was at school I’m sure Barrie would write MUST TRY HARDER! on my report. I think we all enjoyed the afternoon.
Mum & Dad came for a visit. Sorry that they couldn’t get round to see you all but I am sure that you will understand. It was the first time out since both coming out of hospital and I think they enjoyed the change.

We were supposed to be meeting up in the pub on Saturday night but after tea I couldn’t keep my eyes open so I decided to have an early night. Tucked up in bed by 10-00pm on Saturday night. How sad is that? Hope that you all enjoyed yourselves. Sunday morning and the weather was still bright and breezy. Coffee morning was held at 11-00 as usual. Short and sweet this week as it was a bit chilly to sit around chatting. The van prize was won by yours truly again. !00% record this season as we won it last week as well. (cant be stewards sucking up to the chairman can it?)    After coffee a few went off for a walk with the dogs around the lake.
This was my first time at Wintersett and it won’t be the last. 8 vans in total this weekend. Not bad for an early meet. Hope to see a few more after Easter. All that is left is to say a big thanks to Christine & Tony for a nice weekend.

               Take care
                Duncan & Sandra
