Toilets and showers on site. Fishing on river trent running alongside site. Pub on site serving meals all weekend. Social activities organised over bank holiday weekend, including cheese and wine, bike rides, social get-togethers.

Another very entertaining weekend - If it wasnt for that nasty thing called work our weekends would be much better! The weather behaved itself despite a poor forecast and the socials were good fun too with some excellent quizzes hosted by our resident quiz master ( and chairman!) Duncan.

Nice to see so many visitors out with Caldervale, and I for one hope they come again soon, you never know they may even join us ! and folks - it's not always this chaotic - sometimes its worse !!! - (but always fun!)

See you all soon

Hi All.
Just arrived home from Mum And Dads meet at High Marnham. A bit of a struggle for them at the moment but we all chipped in and got the job done. Saturdays Cheese and Wine party was blessed with sunshine. Nice to see so many visitors enjoying the hospitality of our club. I held a chilly social in the tent on Saturday night, with Bingo and few bits and bobs. The new Bingo machine I bought was a bit naff. Well I did only pay £3.50 for it off e-bay. Thanks to all who attended.

Sunday morning and the weather was still fine. By the time we started the Coffee morning it was sunny again. With Quiz answers and the Raffle draw etc we had a good get together that lasted a good hour. Thanks to all who donated prizes. Keith’s Bike ride was next on the agenda whilst the Golf society went to the local course for a game. 104 for me this time. Getting better I think.

Sunday Night most of us went into the room behind the Pub for the social. Once again I was the host(bet you are all sick of the sight of me) Don’t answer that one Charlie. I can usually tell how a social has gone by how much I enjoy doing it. This was one I will remember for a while. It makes a big difference when you all join in with the fun. I must thank you all for that. It’s nice that I can have a bit off banter with one or two. I Hope I didn’t offend any one.

Monday came and It was time to pack up and go home ready for work on Tuesday. The weather was ok. Mostly dry whilst we got the awnings down. We decided to have a break from the packing up to have a cuppa. That’s when a flying Duck decided to unload the contents of its insides all over the lot of us. I have never seen the stuff spread that far. Don’t know what it had been eating. It was like black tar. It’s a good job the cows cant fly.

You know the saying. S_ _ T for luck. Not really, When I got home I backed the caravan into the gate post Whoops. Not having much luck with this one.

Anyway we had a good long weekend and I hope you all enjoyed it with us. By the way we made £15.00 for the Air Ambulance.

Hope to see you all next weekend.
Sandra & Duncan

Hello all, back home after another good weekend, hosted by IRIS & IVAN nice to see you both out and about again and both looking fit and well. Someone said that you had some help running the weekend but I never saw any signs well done to you both and a big THANK YOU!  Thanks to all who helped with the Saturday afternoon CHEESE & WINE party and thanks to all who came and suported it.I think everyone enjoyed themselves.

Another informal get together on Saturday evening when Duncan tried to call out the numbers for bingo, I think he will have to get a little more practice in (on second thought that might not be a good idea.only joking Duncan I know it was the fault of the machine, it just wouldn't give out the numbers properly) Sunday saw our usual coffee morning and pay day followed by a bike ride led by Keith and sabotaged by Sanda becoming a GRANDMA? Some went playing golf again and enjoyed it I think.

Sunday evening we had a get together in the Pub room and once again Duncan was outdone by the Bingo callers. I hope we don't get one of them we will never get through a game . Anyway well done Duncan we all enjoyed the evening and look forward to the next one.

Thanks to all our visitors for coming and supporting us, hope you all come again soon.
See you all next weekend  bye for now BARRIE & JOAN.
