Just got home from Woodland View Caravan Park. Lovely site despite being a bit!! of a slope. The weather could have been better at times but the views more than made up for it.
Myself, Sharron, Duncan and Sandra went for tea out at the nearby pub on Friday night, joined later by quite a few other members. Lovely evening, thanks all.
Thank you to Sandra for a lovely weekend, and it was really nice to see Debra and Matt on Saturday.
See you all at Wold Newton, I have got a few maintenance jobs on the caravan next weekend, and a wedding anniversary to celebrate (so I'm told) (29 years, don't get that for murder do you??)
Steve & Sharron
Hello again, well it finally happened didn't it, you might well ask what,IT RAINED didn't it. Finally we had a drop or two of badly needed rain , it could have waited till Monday but then again I play golf on Monday so that wouldn't do either. Never mind we had a very nice meet thanks to Sandra.
A new venue and very nice too, a little on the slope but nothing a barrow load of bricks couldn't put right (only joking) We had a good night in the local hostelry on Friday evening, and managed a nice walk through the Bluebell wood on Saturday. We stayed on site Saturday evening and had a good old fashioned chin wag in the van.Sunday morning we managed our get together outside in quite pleasant sunshine.
When it was time to go home it started to rain again and it has not stopped since, still we need a drop now and then. Hope it stops before next weekend. See you there at West Cowick.
Bye for now Barrie & Joan
Hi Yawl
Sunday night and time for my meet report. This week we have been to a new site at Hoylandswaine. 11 vans in total this weekend. Our hostess with the mostess was our Sandra. (not that she did much. Off site most of the time) Only joking sis. We arrived on Friday night in the damp weather. After setting up it was off to the local for tea with our buddies Sharron & Steve. Nice meal but not the cheapest I have had. Later on we were joined by the usual bunch of Alco’s for a chin wag. Nice night, Thanks.
Saturday morning and the weather was fine and dry. A quick trip to Mitchell’s in the morning then in to Barnsley to have the suit fitted for the wedding of the year.( Our Debz, I’m giving her away. Proud man) Saturday night I think we all decided to stay on site and do our own thing. No social because Sandra couldn’t be bothered to put her awning up ( I don’t know why we bother to ask her to steward) Only joking again sis. (pushing it now) It was far to windy on Friday to put it up. We (Sandra,Sharron,Steve and myself) decided to watch The Eurovision Song contest.(Yes you heard me, The Eurovision Song Contest) I had forgotten what quality TV was until I watched this. Well we had a laugh. Better luck next year UK.
Sunday morning and it did stay fine for us to have the Coffee morning. Then the heavens opened. Dad, Steve and me watched the Grand Prix (Come on Lewis. Jenson who?) Whilst the ladies had another chin wag. All In all another fun weekend (Apart from getting prity wet packing up) Well done Sandra. Look forward to next year when you might put a little more effort in to it. (I’m in trouble) Sorry but wont see you all next week as The wife and I are off to the BCC AGM. Have a good meet with Kath & Charlie.
See You all Soon.
Duncan & Sandra.
