We are just home from a very nice week in Wold Newton. This was our THS Stewarded by Joan,Barrie,Sharron,Steve,Sandra and Myself. It’s a good job we had that many stewards. Not really. We have been very Quiet like most sites near us. I think the weather over the bank holiday weekend put most off. Well more fool them, That’s what I say. We had a brill week. It started wet and windy but as the week went on the weather picked up and we finished in lovely sunshine. We entertained the few visitors that did turn out in our usual style. Every one of them pledging to visit us again.
The only Caldervale members on site besides the stewards was Audrey & Ted. Didn’t we have a good time Audrey? (Audrey’s new catch phrase) We looked after them well. Free electric hook up. You have to be important to get that.(ask Audrey) Ted Showed the golf society how to play the great game. He made sure he got his moneys worth by taking twice as many shots as the rest of us. (Sorry Ted). Talking of Golf. 4 Rounds!!!! No Holes in one this time. Barrie was only about 5’ off at one hole. (Keep trying Barrie. I will show you how to do it one day) By the time Saturday came we were all golfed out. Thanks to you all for some quality time.
When the golfers arrived back on site it was time for the shoppers to go do there thing. I will tell you how they did when the credit card bill arrives. Me and Steve went with them one day. Well if you can’t beat them. I surprised Sandra by actually picking some clothes all on my own. I will look cool in my pink t shirt on our hols.
We had a few get-togethers over the week. Wednesday night was Chinese night. What a feast. (See photos) The local take-away was at full stretch. Lovely.
We got together on Saturday night for a few drinks as it was our last night. I thought I would have to go back to my van early because I was so embarrassed. Yes you guessed it. Joan started telling dirty jokes.( ask Joan to tell you the one about the sperm bank. Bet she can’t remember. Too much wine. You know how she can get). Top Night. Thanks.
Sunday morning came and a leisurely pack up in the sun.
Good Food. Good Golf. Good Shopping. But most off all Good Company. If you weren’t there you missed out. Thanks to you all.

Hello everyone,Iv'e now got time to let all those who didn't get to Wold Newton know just what they missed. We arrived in fine weather and got set up and pegged out the field for about 30 vans ,I thought that would do for a start.then went out and put up some signs and went for a ride into Hunmanby and a walk on Hunmanby Gap.Thursday morning and our first visitors arrived at about 10 o clock ( the start of something big)from Scunthorpe. Our next arrivals came from near Huddersfield and came about lunch time. Our next arrivals were on Friday two stewards and one visitor. Saturday we had two more visitors . And one more on Monday. We waited all week for some more but never got any , but we had a great time especially when the weather got better.
We had a get together in Duncan's awning on Saturday night and had fun (see photo's)We had a couple from Norfolk in a tent, and didb't expect them staying with the bad weather but they braved the elements and finished up staying till the end and had a great time. They went to more places than I can name and said they had a great week with us ,THANKS for that, hope to see them again soon.
Our visitors from Huddersfield DA stayed for 3 nights and left us a note of thanks which was a nice surprise, THANKS to you both and hope to meet again.We had plenty of time for our visits to the golf coarse (4 in all) and many evening chin wags . We had a Caldervale supper on Friday which was very nice , I think every one finished up with what they had ordered (Chinese)It took an experienced Sandra to work it out,thanks Sandra I enjoyed what I got anyway.As usual it soon came to time to pack up and go home.Thanks to all who came and helped us have a happy meet even though there weren't many of us HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL AGAIN SOON
