AT Last I can do a report that says that we have had wall to wall sunshine all weekend. We have just arrived home from Ingbirtchworth and what a lovely weekend we have had. Charlie, Kath, Robin & Janet were our hosts this time.
We arrived on Friday tea time to find that we were camping in the bottom field as the sheep in the rally field were still lambing, much to the delight of the women. This was a bit of a nightmare for our stewards as they had to find room for the 20 vans that turned up. A good mixture of members and guests. After the arrival cuppa and chat, it was back to the van for me to make the tea whilst Sandra and a few other ladies sat with binoculars primed on the sheep that was walking with Quite a large bulge at its rear. They didn’t have to wait long to see the said sheep part with its little bundle of fluff. (It will be on my BBQ in a couple of weeks).

After all this excitement what else could we do but wet the baby’s head. ( Any Excuse) So off we went to Steve & Sharrons for a tipple.
Saturday morning and the sun was shining.  Sandra and I had to take a Quick trip to Murderhall to pick my new specks up. Yes I did say Murderhall. (That’s Meadohall for all you people that never venture south of woolly services) After a lazy afternoon and a lovely BBQ, It was time to gather for the Social evening. What a nice change to be able to sit out and enjoy the warm night. The Quiz master for the night was Richard. A mixture of easy and hard Questions this time. After the Quiz we were treated to Hot Dogs & Burgers from our hosts which went down very well. Unfortunately Dad (Ivan) had a funny turn and had to go back to the van early. You will be glad to hear that he recovered quickly and won’t be suing the Stewards for poisoning him. We finished off with a game of quoits into the night. It was very nice to see that the visitors felt welcome enough to come and join in the fun. A good night was had by all. Thanks to all involved.

Sunday and yes the sun is shining again. We held the usual chin wag at 11.00 in the beautiful weather. Once again all the usual announcements and Banta. Nothing to rush home for so we all enjoyed as much of the day as we could before setting off home.

This was another well attended meet. After a slow start the season is beginning to pick up number wise. A big thank you to our stewards for another very enjoyable weekend.
Next weekend is the BCC AGM. Hope to see you there.
Duncan.
