Hi there, Back from Hoylandswain weekend hosted by Iris & Ivan,Sandra,Hazel & Keith. This was a 5 day meet but we only managed our usual Friday to Sunday.
We arrived on 1st of August which is YORKSHIRE DAY and we now have an official flag so come on you proud YORKSHIRE folk lets be letting everyone know where we are from.Bit of mixed weather this weekend but all in all very enjoyable. Saturday morning the ladies, lead by Sandra left for a spot of wheelchair pushing at Cleethorps and they got back with Penelope's hats.The golf society went for a round at a new course and enjoyed it , we set of in quite heavy rain but it didn't last long and we were soon in shirt sleeves.
Ted managed 9 holes then went for a roast beef sandwich which took him nearly another 9 holes to eat, he thought it had come from somebodies shoes.
Saturday night we didn't manage a get together because of the very windy conditions  but on Sunday morning we had a good Coffee morning with our chairman making his first outing since his OP.Hope it's changed colour by now Duncan. Nice to see you out so quick hope you havn't over done it. After our usual long meeting come get together it was nearly time to go home and leave those staying to enjoy the rest of the weekend. We may see you all next weekend at Ingbirchworth if not it will be in bonny Scotland for the pre meet and then the FOL. Don't forget your lights and bits for the Saturday night light up.
