Social in barn saturday evening

Hi all, just back from another good weekend this time at Barnsdale Bar, hosted by Lindsay & Richard helped by the kids.

A little windy of Friday but when I got there Richard had managed to put up his awning  so had a cuppa inside out of the wind. Friday evening most of us went into the awning for a chat and a drink. Saturday Robin and me went for a round of golf, enjoyed it but had to do a lot of waiting as the fine weather had brought out the fine weather golfers. Saturday evening we all went into the awning for a social with a quiz or two ,I think the questions were easier than last weeks but I still didn't get many right. We also had a drawing game and what a lot of funny ideas we have of different words when it comes to drawing them. Had a good laugh thanks to our friend Roy. Sunday morning we had our coffee morning and afterwards we had a game of hoopla with the kids then went for a walk through the old railway tunnel and found out where it ends, quite near the Little Chef. Eventually we had to pack up and go home  AH,AH AH.

Well that's it for this weekend hope to see you all at Wighill next weekend . Have a safe journey     Barrie

Hi everyone

I'd just like to thank everyone that came to our meet. As dad mentioned the wind was a bit blowey when we got their early Friday, which made putting the awning up great fun! still the pleasure once everything is done and time to relax makes it all worth while! Soon after our guests started to arrive, so it was "all hands to the pumps" to site everyone. Once evening came around everyone gathered together for a good old fashioned chin wag. We soon sorted out all the worlds problems and celebrated with a beer or two!

Saturday and some went their own ways to visit Pontefract others stayed home and relaxed - whatever their choice I think everyone enjoyed the day. Following a nice morning, we decided to have our first BBQ of the year, which the weather then tried to put out ! - not put off I continued - in the rain - and eventually succeeded and we have a lovely lunch!

Evening drew on and it was time for my social. a couple of easy quizzes ( well i thought they were ) interspersed with a first time trial game, of Pictionary, the game where one person has to draw a word and their partner has to guess it. After a tough fight it came down to our eventual winners, Sue and Duncan - Well done ! - Some of the artistry can be seen below - can you work the words & phrases out ?

Sunday morning and time for coffee morning. followed swiftly with aaron instigating up more rivalry with an impromptu game of quoits. Robin, Dad, lindsay, my boys and myself all went for a walk to visit a disused train tunnel, to discover where the other end came out - a very bizzaar walk - but still enjoyable

Thankyou all for coming, and hopefully see you all at Wighill

Richard & Lindsay
