Hi all
Just returned from a fantastic weekend at Misterton with Brenda and Peter as stewards. The weather has been absolutely fantastic, and it was lovely to see and hear the kids enjoying themselves around their vans and in the paddling pool, courtesy of Robin and Janet. Hope we have a lot more of that to come. Arrived a little later than anticipated due to the nasty accident in Bawtry. After the committee meeting on Friday evening, a few of us strolled down to the Red Hart? in the village for a few before heading off back to the vans for bedtime. Saturday morning dawned and it was a scorcher, the golfers walked down the road for their usual fix, minus Steve who had to work. Sandra, Hazel and myself had a stroll down to the village gala and watched the men (and ladies) in uniform doing their thing. Very enjoyable couple of hours. Saturday night social in the tent with Peter and his cards but no dominoes and his hat stayed firmly on his head!!! Thanks Peter and Brend a it was very enjoyable and the crisps were very welcome, but I'm not sure about the dripping urgh! Sunday, and Steve and myself went for a walk down to West Stockwith with Milly only to get caught in the rain. After a cup of coffee and a little chat putting the world to rights? with our friends, we set off home leaving the none working to stay another couple of days.
Once again thanks Peter and Brenda for a lovely weekend.

Lovely flat site, near river. Ideal for walking, bike riding, golf course nearby.
Committee meeting 10:30am Saturday Morning
Hi Everyone
Just arrived home from another brilliant weekend with Caldervale. This week we have been to Misterton with Peter and Brenda. The weather forecast wasn’t very good but it just goes to show how wrong they can be. Wall to wall sunshine all the way.
We took advantage of the extra night and took our van on Thursday evening. After arriving fairly late there was just time to help Robin with his awning and have a quick chat with a few people and a bite to eat before turning in for the night. When we arrived back on site on Friday after work, We found that the site had filled up nicely. When all had arrived we finished up with about 24 vans. A good mixture of Members and visitors. We decided to put the Tent up so it didn’t eat into the Saturday to come. After pitching the tent some went for a drink to the local pub whilst others took advantage of the tent and went in for a chin wag. We had a good night in the local and I hear the chin wagers were still in the tent at 11.15 pm. (Don’t tell The chairman).
Saturday morning and the sun was beating down. As usual the golfers went for a round whilst a few of the others went to the local village fate. Saturday afternoon and we all did our own thing on site. It was great to see so many kids enjoying themselves in the sun. Sorry, no photos of that as there was a distinct lack of clothing and you know what it’s like these days. Apparently some visitors on site turned there noses up at the kids making a noise. All I will say as Chairman is. If you don’t like to see kids enjoying themselves, please camp with another area. It is a delight to have little ones on site again after a few years with no youth. To all the parents. KEEP IT UP. You are very welcome at all our meets. On Saturday night some of us gathered in the tent for Peters social evening, I started by doing the coffee morning at night for a change as Sandra Hazel and Me were going to a family christening on Sunday morning. I did all the usual blagh de blagh with a couple of funnies thrown in for good measure. Then it was over to Peter for his social. WHAT A SURPRISE, some Quizzes that we could at least understand. We had a very entertaining night, and once again he took some stick from a couple of the audience. Of course I was not involved with the heckling. Well would I???? We were also treated to a little bit of supper provided by our hosts which went down well. A big thanks for a nice evening.
On Sunday as I said earlier we went of to out Lewis and Christopher’s christening. The weather was lovely again. We arrived back on site at about 2.30 to find that both tents had been taken down and stored in the barn ready for Haxey. Thanks to all who helped with that.
Well once again want to thank Brenda and Peter for a first class weekend. Keep them coming.
Sorry wont be with you at Church Farm next week as we are going on our hols. Hope you have a good weekend with Sharron & Steve.
See You All for coffee at Hoyland swain.
