Communal BBQ on saturday evening.

Hi all

A quick report from our weekend meet at Woolley. Despite the mixed weather forecast we had a decent turnout with 8 vans including us as Stewards. Lovely to see Ted and Audrey out again in their new van, following their recent ill health although I think there's some peculiar smelly stuff been left in the walls of that caravan because every time someone went in, they came out in hysterical laughter and Audrey seemed to be having problems keeping herself vertical whilst out on the field. Steve opened up the meet at 2pm after a quick dash from work and had welcomed most people before I returned home from work about 6pm. A couple more vans and then Steve set off the dig the Elsan with no help from me!!! Saturday and Robin and Steve went off for a couple of hours "spoiling a good walk" as some people would say whilst the rest of us either sat around enjoying the sunshine or touring the local areas. Janet decided to have a hair makeover in the afternoon with welcome assistance from Sandra and some unwelcome assistance from other people. I'll let the pictures tell the story (sorry Janet, I am your friend honest!!) The weather quickly dropped around lighting up time and the communal barbecue planned for tea time descended into Steve lighting up on his own (come back Dunc all is forgiven), but mainly due to either most people not having brought their barbies with them or their hoses not being long enough to communal barbie. We had planned to sit around for a few drinks afterwards but the good old british summer put paid to that and everyone chilled out in their own vans. I hear the Blackburn women seem to be having a few problems with alcohol intake, so a little bird told me on Sunday morning. Robin officiated at coffee morning in the absence of both Duncan and Charles, he just needs a bit more practice at holding them I think!!. I seem to be picking on Robin and Janet in this report but seriously we're only joking around and hope we haven't offended you. Thanks to everyone who came out, bot! h old an d new members and we look forward to seeing you in the not too distant future.
