A meet report with a difference as I am writing this as it happens like a diary.
Thursday evening.
I arrived on site at about 6-30 alone as Sandra is going out with the girls from work on Friday night so she will be joining us on Saturday morning. Van set up and signs out just as Charlie arrived to leave his van over night as he was working on Friday. It was 10-00 before I realised that I hadn’t had any tea so on with the oven and in with the steak and kidney pies. Can’t remember ever eating s and k pies at 10-30pm before. Went down well with a couple of cans. Hit the sack at about 11-30. Didn’t take any rocking.
Friday.
Got up at 7-30 to nice sunshine. Hazel & Keith arrived from Haxey at about 10-00 then I had a steady stream of vans all day. Managed to keep up with the tea and coffee as well as putting the vans on which is more than last weeks stewards did.(Some excuse about having 58 vans or something) Our last van arrived at 7-30making 19 in all. I have just had my tea and watching a bit of corrie before going out for a couple of beers.
Saturday.
A good night last night. Chin wag in the boat club with a few friends and family. Went for a game of golf at 9-00 with the team. Got wet again. 3rd game in a row that it has p---ed it down. Back on site at about 12-30, Quick cuppa and a sandwich before having a shower. The ladies arrived back on site after hitting the shops.
Just watching a bit of the ladies golf on the box before tea..
Had tea now, Steak and chips, lovely. Had a walk after tea with Sharron & Steve. Now going for a drink in there van.
Sunday.
Had a good night last night. A good chat, a laugh and a bottle of red.
Just preparing my notes for the coffee morning. Hoping to take advantage of the nice weather and have 9 holes after coffee. Charlie started the coffee morning then passed over to me. Just a short one today.
Just arrived back from golf. Not a bad knock. Didn’t get wet this time. Just arrived home after packing up in the sun. Quite a quiet weekend this time after all the hustle and bustle of Haxey. Thanks to all who attended We look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Back from another weekend run by Duncan and Sandra bit of a wet one but we did manage to get 2 games of golf and the women got shopping and it seemed the kids enjoyed the puddles many thanks for the weekend.
