Hi All.

This weekend we have been to the re arranged meet at Hoylandswaine with our hosts Kath & Charlie. 11 vans in total turned out this week. When we arrived on Friday we went for the usual cuppa and chin wag before our tea. A few of us went out for a few drinks on Friday night in the local pub. Thanks to every body for very enjoyable evening. Saturday morning and the weather was dry but quite windy. Robin had to work which must have been quite a shock to his system after all this time. Apparently Steven wasn’t feeling very well, It must have been something that you ate on Friday night. Nothing to do with the Beer?

After a nice lie in for us it was time to do a bit on our FOL display. Sandra was busy making bits and bobs for the lady’s Police uniforms whilst Mum, Dad and me attempted to make there car look like an Ambulance. I think we did a good job as you can see from the photos. Just a bit for mum to do at home and we will be ready for our display. The weather spoiled its self for a while in the afternoon so I took the opportunity to have 40 winks. When I awoke from my slumber I found that the weather had cleared and a few were sat having a chin wag so I muscled in on the circle. We planned the van positions for the FOL. Not a job I like as I always seem to upset somebody. (Complaints on a post card please).

After tea we invited Mum, Dad, Joan and Barrie to join us for a drink in our van. After a couple of hours we had put all the worlds’ wrongs to right. If we started a political party I don’t know what we would call it but I think we would get a few votes. Thanks for another nice evening.

Sunday and the weather was kind. Still a little windy but sunny. Coffee morning was held at the stewards van as usual. For the second time this year I had to ask for a minute silence in respect of a former member of our club. Unfortunately Madge Laughlin passed away last week only a few months after her husband Jack. Our thoughts are with the family again at this sad time.

After coffee we packed up and headed off home. A big thank you goes to Kath & Charles for a nice free & easy weekend.

Our next get together is the FOL in Wales. I look forward to seeing you all there.

Keep on Camping.

Duncan

Hello

Many thanks to Kath and Charlie for a great free and easy weekend and we hope to see you all at the FOL in Wales.

Robin and Janet.

Hi there,

back from another weekend, this time at Hoyland Swain , (an exchange from Cawthorne due to the site)When we arrived we were the first for a change and we settled near the fence. After a cuppa and a chin wag with our hosts for the weekend Charley,(Kath was working AH AH ) we put up the awning in lightish wind which got stronger on Saturday ,so much so that I had to take it down with a broken pole and a small rip in the material.

It should have been a working weekend for those going to the FOL in Wales but only 3 of us were there and as I have been doing what I need at home only Duncan & Iris had anything to do. It looks well Iris even if it did get a little blown.

Friday evening we went across to the local for a quick one and a get together. We didn't do much except relax on Saturday then we joined Iris & Ivan in Duncan & Sandra's van for the evening, and put the world to right again.

Sunday morning we had our usual coffee norning and paid our fees.We then went into Sheffield to spend some cash at Towsure, were we purchased some new chairs, our others have done well but they started showing there age and not being very comfortable, and as we sit around quite a bit we have gone mad and got some new ones.

Sorry there are no pictures from me I forgot the Camera again.

Next time we meet it will be in Wales so I wish you all a safe journey and see you there.

Joan & Barrie
