Robin and Janet

Hello everybody.

This week we have been to our new site at Thurlmoor caravan site near Dunford Bridge. Only 7 vans out this week. The ones who didn’t come missed a treat. The views from this site are stunning. Sandra and I volunteered to steward this one and we are glad we did. Friday’s weather was very sunny but a little windy. Not much work to do apart from putting the signs out and making a few cuppas. On Friday night we invited Barrie, Joan, Hazel and Keith to join us for a natter.

Saturday morning and the sun was shining again. Most of us went off site to do various things. Some went to Holmfirth to the Food and wine festival whilst a few went to Barnsley to hit the shops. Sandra, Hazel and myself went to Sheffield to visit Dad in Hospital. (He’s a lot better) Keith stayed on site to hold the fort. After we all arrived back most of us sat out enjoying the sunshine and the view. Barrie decided to go out on a bike ride but unfortunately he lost his keys on the way round. That night we had a drink with Hazel, Keith, Barrie and Joan again. Cheers for a nice night.

Sunday morning’s weather was very misty at first but cleared up just after the usual coffee at 11-00. This is a very nice site and I am looking forward to visiting it again next year. Thanks to all who attended.

Duncan
