Hello.
This weekend we have been to a new site for us at Braithwell. Margret and Jack were our stewards as there usual meet at Eckington had to be cancelled a few weeks ago.
After arriving we went for a cuppa with our hosts to catch up on there latest gossip.
Only 6 vans out this time which is a bit disappointing but we still had a good weekend. After tea a few of us went for a drink in the village. A nice old style pub. Live entertainment and good chat. Cheers for a good night.
On Saturday the golfers had a date with a new course for some of us. We had another enjoyable round despite getting soaked half way round. The shoppers hit Doncaster and didn’t arrive back on site until after 5-00pm. I think most stopped in there vans on Saturday night and did there own thing.
Sunday morning came and the weather was sunny and dry but quite windy. We did have a bit of a panic on our hands early on. Some know it all knows nowt came on site and told Jack that he thought that a football match was taking place on the field that we was camped on and we may have to be off by the kick off time of 10-30. This did spoil a good weekend as 3 of the vans on site decided to pack up and go straight away. As it turned out the know it all was wrong and the football match didn’t happen. As there was only 6 people left on site I held the coffee morning in Jack and Margret’s van. A bit of an anti climax to a nice little weekend. Our thanks go to Jack and Margret for stewarding.

Hello there, back from this weekend meet at Braithwellhosted by Mararet & Jack.I arrived just after 2-00 and was the first to arrive (not surprising with the distance I had to go). I was followed onsite by Audrey & Albert and after setting up went for a cuppa and a natter and then waited for the rest to arrive. In the evening we went to the local for a little refreshment and another natter, but that was quite hard to do with the resident music man letting us know he had a good amplifier,his voice wasn't too bad either.
Satrday morning we went for a round of golf to Crookhill just down the roadand even though we got a little wet we enjoyed it. The rest of Saturday I sat and read and did a bit of cross stitch.
Sunday morning not long after getting up, after putting the clocks backan hour, Jack came to inform us that there might be a football game on the pitch that we were parked on. I then decided as I wasn't going to be late going home anyway that I would pack up and leave rather than mess about moving.
