Hi there, Just got round to putting a few words down following our THS meet at Happisburgh. This is our 2nd time of helping to run this meet and it was nice to see many of the people we met last year, and nice to meet new visitors who we hope will be back next year to help make it another good meet. Sue & Duncan are old hands at this meet and after missing last year they soon got back into the swing and showed us how to have a good time. We put up our small marquee so that Sue could put her bri-a-brac and books out for folk to donate to our Air Ambulance funds. I put some of my turned wood goods in our awning and again sold them with profit going to the charity. A big thank you to all who bought (I will bring some more next year so don’t buy your Christmas gifts before then as I hope to make some more desirable goods). Our coffee afternoons went down very well, with raffles and bingo adding to make very pleasant afternoons where everyone had a good chat with people they had not met before, always nice to meet new acquaintances. Adding up all the money raised for our charity we got to a grand total of £150.00. A great big THANK YOU to everyone for giving so generously and donating prizes as well. That’s it for this year ,we all look forward to next year and my thanks again to SUE & DUNCAN for making this like a good holiday. Take care, drive safely and we will meet again next year. Hi there, We returned to stewarding the THS meet at Happisburgh and looking forward to seeing familiar faces & welcoming new ones. Joan & Barrie came down to help run the meet with us. When the meet started we weren’t disappointed as the first few units on were regulars to the meet. Unfortunately the weather could have been kinder to us, but we occasionally saw the sun but it was the northerly wind that spoilt it. At least it was mainly dry only having a little rain early on in the meet. With lots of help from Joan & Barrie we put up the marquee so we could put out our large selection of books & bric-a-brac out for people to take away for a small donation to the Air Ambulance. On Wednesday’s we had a coffee afternoon for people to come and join us for a chat. We had a raffle (thank you to all who donated prizes) and a couple of games of bingo, thank you Barrie for running this. All proceeds from these coffee afternoons etc. Went to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and a grand total of £150.00 was raised. Thanks to everyone who contributed and helped us have a good time. Our THS is in a beautiful part of Norfolk, just a couple of miles from the beech with numerous walks in all directions from the site making it ideal for walkers. Walkers are ell catered for as well with there being many quiet lanes to ride on. We would like to thank Mrs. Durrell for bringing daily newspapers, milk & fresh veg. that had been ordered. Thank you to Joan & Barrie for helping us steward this meet. Thank you to all who came to our holiday meet. SUE & DUNCAN. barrie webb
